Once you’ve completed a Taster Session (or if you’re really keen you can do this instead) the next step is your ‘On-Ramp’.
The On-Ramp is an hour-long session where we teach you all the basics you need to know about handling barbells. They can be intimidating, especially to the uninitiated, and so we ensure you spend some time getting to know the movements before letting you loose in the classes.
Our On-Ramp focuses on 8 of the Foundational Movements found in CrossFit:
- Air Squat
- Front Squat
- Overhead Squat
- Shoulder Press
- Push Press
- Push Jerk
After we’ve taught you all you need to know, we then put you through your paces with a small dose of fitness. This workout is 5 minutes long.
5 minutes. That’s all, right?
These 5 minutes have a unique ability to humble you to the ways of CrossFit.
You’ll sweat a bit, breathe hard and possibly lose the ability to count… and at the end, you’ll wonder how those 5 minutes have changed your view on “fitness” so easily.
And that’s the best thing about CrossFit, the Intensity. Intensity gets Results.
You don’t need to spend hour after hour pounding the pavement or doing bicep curls. One short, hard and fast workout a day will do more for you than you could imagine.
