Happy 7th Birthday TEAM CFCM
I can’t quite believe that it’s been 7 years!!
It was just after midnight on the 30th December 2008 when I checked the emails before going to bed and I couldn’t quite believe my eyes!! Sitting there in the inbox was an email from CrossFit HQ!! It was the long awaited email confirming I could finally change the name of the ‘Circuit Classes’ and call them by their rightful name, CrossFit!
Naturally so much has happened in those 7 years, the good, the bad and the ugly. Honestly there have been times in those 7 years where I have sat and wondered “Can I keep doing this?” In the end the answer has always been “Yes” because I love what I do, even through the tough times I couldn’t imagine doing anything else! All I need to do is walk in the gym, teach a class or watch one of my coaches teaching and I’m reminded exactly why I love what I do and why I am doing this!
This year has seen some of the biggest changes here at CrossFit Central Manchester, not only has our CrossFit family continued to grow but our coaching team has too!
It’s at this time of year that I get to pay thanks for everyone who makes us TEAM CFCM!
To all of the members who continue to believe in what we do. Thank you! We have no egos, we have no clicks and for that I am so proud! We have a great community of people who care and support each other and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
Thank you to all of my coaching team, Chris, Michael, Robbie, Vaughan, Perkins, Rob, Tom, DeGrutchy, Leonie, Elena and Ziggy. Thank you for everything you have done for the gym this past year, for making it a fun learning environment for everyone and aiming to be the best Coach that you can be in every class. You all bring something different to the gym, which is what makes it so great and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with.
Finally Benji. A special thanks of course goes to you! The person who has helped me drive the gym in the right direction for the last two years! I literally could not ask for a better Head Coach and partner in crime! You care about the gym like it was your own! (Senor Chang)
